Welcome to my creative space, where architecture, photography, and visual storytelling converge. I’m Sarthak Banga – an architect by profession and a passionate photographer and videographer by choice.

My journey behind the lens began in 2016, during my bachelor’s degree in architecture in India. Purchasing my first camera sparked a lifelong love for capturing authentic moments and visual narratives. I started by documenting university events and travel experiences across India, gradually developing a sharp eye for detail, composition, and emotion.

In 2019, my pursuit of knowledge led me to Chicago, a city celebrated for its architectural innovation. While earning my Master’s in Urban Design and Planning, I immersed myself in the local photography scene. A creator meetup at Ping Tom Park in Chinatown became a turning point, connecting me with a vibrant community of photographers. These experiences challenged me creatively and helped refine my style through iconic shoots around Chicago’s urban landscape.

By 2020, I ventured into architectural portrait photography, uniquely blending the city’s design with human elements. This artistic approach attracted collaborations from creators across cities and countries. My Instagram, @thefacetpixel, quickly grew to a community of over 100,000 followers, becoming a visual diary of my evolution. The name “Thefacetpixel” reflects how each image, like a pixel, contributes to a broader, multifaceted story. Through this platform, I’ve proudly promoted tourism in Chicago, Washington D.C., and New York City.

Manhattan, with its skyline and energy, was a creative milestone. I captured its essence from iconic sky decks and vibrant streets, constantly pushing my limits. Collaborating with local creators encouraged me to expand into aerial videography and immersive storytelling – enhancing both my technical skills and artistic depth.

In 2023, my journey extended to Europe. Collaborations in Germany, Austria, and explorations in Switzerland broadened my perspective and enriched my vision. Each new location and encounter deepens my appreciation for the power of photography to connect, inspire, and document culture through design.
