Welcome to my corner of the web where architecture and visual storytelling converge and I am an architect by profession and a passionate photographer and videographer by choice. My journey into the world of photography began during my bachelor’s studies in architecture. It started in 2016. I bought my first camera. This decision sparked a profound love for capturing moments and telling stories through my lens. Initially, my subjects were university events and recreational trips across India. As I explored the diverse landscapes I honed my skills. I developed a keen eye for detail.
In 2019 my quest for knowledge and growth led me to Chicago, a city renowned for its architectural marvels and innovative urban design. Pursuing a master’s degree in Urban Design and Planning I immersed myself in the city’s rich architectural heritage. It was here in Chicago that I found a thriving photography community. This community embraced me. It pushed my creative boundaries. My first meetup at Ping Tom Park in Chinatown was a turning point. It introduced me to talented photographers and creators. These individuals inspired me to elevate my craft. Capturing iconic Chicago landmarks and participating in these meetups enriched my perspective and refined my photographic style.
By 2020 I had ventured into architectural portrait shoots. I was blending the city’s aesthetic with portrait photography. This unique approach resonated with many. It attracted individuals from various cities and countries to collaborate with me in Chicago. My Instagram page “Thefacetpixel” became a testament to my journey. It amassed a following of over 100,000. The name “Thefacetpixel” reflects the multifaceted nature of photography where each pixel contributes to a larger intricate story. Through this platform, I have had the privilege of promoting tourism in cities like Chicago, Washington DC, and New York.
New York City, especially Manhattan, marked a significant milestone in my development as a photographer and videographer. The vibrant energy of Manhattan with its iconic skyline and bustling streets, provided an unparalleled canvas for my creative pursuits. During my travels throughout Manhattan, I explored major sky decks. I captured breathtaking views of the city’s architectural wonders from dizzy heights. Meeting with local creators and photographers in and around Manhattan fueled my passion and expanded my skills. These collaborations pushed me to incorporate videography into my repertoire. This allowed me to tell more dynamic and immersive stories. The experience broadened my technical expertise. It also deepened my appreciation for the urban landscape as a source of endless inspiration.
In 2023 my journey took me to Europe. I connected with new communities in Germany and Austria. Additionally, I explored Switzerland which further enriched my artistic vision. Each collaboration and experience has shaped my craft. I am excited to share my journey and vision through this website.
